This election concerns you
Parent of a student, resident with no child in school, or school staff: on October 26, you also elect your school board trustee.

On October 26, the ballot does not stop at the mayor. You also choose the person who represents you on the school board. The board votes on the budget, the policies and the services of the schools in your neighbourhood.
I believe a trustee must also sit for those who cannot take a seat at the table. For the children, the parents who do not live in the neighbourhood of their child's school, and the staff members who work in Zone 6 and do not necessarily live here.
You are a parent of a student
Your child spends the day in a CECCE school. The decisions about the school year are made at the board. Your vote chooses the person who speaks for your child there.
You have no child in school
You still have a vote. Our schools keep French and the faith alive in our neighbourhoods, long after our own children have left them. The young people who stay in school are the ones who will carry the community tomorrow.
You work in our schools
You make the school happen every day. I commit to listen to you before I decide, to defend decisions made here rather than at Queen's Park, and to protect first what touches the student directly: teaching, support and specialized services.
I will be straightforward: a trustee sits on the employer side. So I take no position on the demands at the bargaining table. I commit to make sure your voice is heard at the board.
To make your voice count
Your school support designation says which school board you are attached to for voting. By default, it is the English-language public system.
Same bill, same amount; what changes is your right to vote for the CECCE. Owner, tenant or occupant: if you pay taxes, you can vote for the CECCE when your school support designation allows it.
